Together, we face challenging times in the coronavirus pandemic. In the IMARC programme, we have taken measures to ensure that the consequences of the crisis for your study are minimised. During the current lockdown, online contact with students is fully maintained in all its aspects.
All three universities in IMARC guarantee that every student who enrols will be offered a full educational programme, whether on campus (if possible), online, or a mixture of the two. We have developed an imaginative, flexible and student-friendly approach to the online dimensions of IMARC. Moreover, students are represented in the governance of the programme and we are able to respond quickly to any new circumstances. Our digital libraries remain open and accessible in this period, with extended access to e-books, journals and other resources.
As a mobility programme, we ensure full virtual mobility in the context of current and any future travel restrictions. Dual or multiple degrees will continue to be awarded. We are in close contact with current and prospective students and the IMARC office remains open for all your questions.
Doing research on the IMARC programme
As a research-focused master programme, we pay special attention to methods and topics of research in times of a pandemic. Our teaching and supervisory staff are committed to developing research plans appropriate to the current situation with many fruitful alternatives to face-to-face research such as cultural methods, text and image-based methods, online interviewing or surveys, netnography, analysis of data, and so forth. Together with students and our network partners we are developing alternative modes of internship activity, ensuring that IMARC students continue to take advantage of our connections with the field of border crossing, security and social justice.
Admission to the IMARC programme
We have extended the deadline for application for students from the EU and wider EEA. If, after admission, withdrawals from the programme are caused by restrictions related to any coronavirus measures whether in the countries of the consortium or in the student’s home country, tuition fees will be entirely reimbursed.
