The European Crime Prevention Network contributes to developing the various aspects of crime prevention at the Union level, taking account of the EU crime preventive strategy, and supports crime prevention activities and good practices at the national and local level.

The EUCPN aligns its priorities with the agreed EU priorities as regards to the fight against organised crime.

    It could be a possibility that the intern should work on a particular theme chosen by the EU Presidency. Then (s)he needs to write a theoretical paper and/or help to write a toolbox of this topic. For this toolbox, the intern would need to search and evaluate best practices of this topic from the EU MS. It is then intended to check what has already happened or happens for the moment in the EU and where possible improvements are possible. The intern needs to focus on existing literature, send a survey to the EU MS and maybe even organize a meeting/workshop with experts in this topic.
  • Another possibility could be that the intern monitors recent developments in the field of crime prevention.
