Full Partners
In 2019, IMARC was launched with three of the initial consortium partners. In the upcoming academic year 2025-2026, new collaborations are established. The four full partners in IMARC are:
Associate universities
The IMARC programme is embedded in a wider network of collaborating organisations, which ensures contact with and access to organisations that are relevant for the programme as well as future employment. This way, IMARC contributes to improving the quality of higher education in the field of criminology and prepares you for engaging with current issues in policy and practice.
In addition to the four universities, you can also visit associate universities to do research for your master’s thesis:
- University of Hamburg, Institute for Criminological Social Research (IKS) (Germany)
- Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest, School of Law (Hungary)
- Université Hassan 1er, Settat (Morocco)
- Koç University (Istanbul), Sociology Department (Turkey)
- Università di Bologna (Italy)
Organisations in the field
IMARC has built a large network with over 40 organisations in the field of border crossing, security and social justice. Among these organisations are international and national governmental bodies, NGO’s and commercial companies. These organisations collaborate with IMARC by offering internships and assisting with research and data collection for thesis research, providing input for the curriculum, and advising on the relation between the educational programme and the work field.
