The Faculty of Law of the University of Málaga dates back to the 1979-1980 academic year. It has a total of 18 classrooms and six well-equipped seminar rooms.

Its teaching program covers all relevant areas of the legal branch and provides students with a comprehensive education. Furthermore, it has close ties to local businesses and institutions facilitate the job placement of its graduates.

The University of Málaga (UMA, Universidad de Málaga) is a public university ranked 23 among all Spanish universities and 683 in the world.[6] It was established in 1972 and has, as of 2016, 30,203 Bachelor students and 2576 on a Master’s program, 1255 tenured and 1056 temporary teachers. The UMA offers 65 degree courses and 6 double degrees, over 21 doctoral programmes, 64 master’s Degrees, and 100 courses throughout the academic year. Education takes place in 18 centres by appointed teachers from 81 departments. The great majority of the teaching is organised within the two campuses, although classes also take place in locations spread around the city centre, as well as in Ronda and Antequera.

Málaga is the capital city of the Costa del Sol and the second largest in Andalusia, with a population of
around 700,000. Its airport provides the principal gateway to all the other Andalusian towns and resorts.
Málaga is a modern and safe city, as thousands of visiting students each year, will testify. A 4.2 per cent
of the University of Málaga (UMA) total enrolment is coming from abroad. However, only 20 foreign
students registered at the University of Málaga Faculty of Law. Due to this fact, foreign students coming
to UMA Faculty of Law have maximum opportunity to be immersed in the Spanish culture and language.The International Relations Students’ Club and the Languages Students’ club at the Faculty will help.

The city offers a rich cultural and academic experience to students from around the world. They can
take advantage of great academics at the university and an extremely user-friendly city. The excellent
public transportation, the large pedestrian area, the inexpensive services, the international airport, the
bus and train station, or the beaches and gardens, are all reasons for the students’ satisfaction. From
Málaga, it is easy to visit Morocco, Madrid, Granada, Seville, Ronda or Cordoba, not to forget Andalusian
white villages.

UMA does NOT offer accommodation to students, but offers help in finding accommodation through the International Hub, the Accommodation Service or ESN Málaga.

Renting a room in a shared flat with other students is the most common way for international students to live in Málaga. There are a large number of flats available for rent, although there is also a great demand (especially in the months of September and February).

 The Social Action Service of the University of Málaga has an Accommodation Programme with the aim of enabling the search for rented housing through online access to the computer application created for this purpose, where all the formalities are carried out completely FREE of charge, both for those interested in looking for accommodation and for landlords who offer their homes to the university.
